WeDrive refund policy – Rider

Thank you for riding with WeDrive. We value your satisfaction and strive to provide you with the best taxi service experience possible. If a trip you take does not meet your expectations, you can simply share your feedback by rating your driver in the app. If any problem occurs during a ride you can report it to our Support team. In some cases, your report may be covered by our Rider Refund Policy. You may be eligible to receive a full or partial refund of the price you paid.

If you have an issue on a trip, let us know within 5 days. All requests will be investigated and evaluated at WeDrive’s sole discretion, and on a case-by-case basis. Providing inaccurate information about your trip experience when disputing fees or charges may result in your request being denied and/or your account being deactivated.

As a third-party marketplace that connects riders and drivers within the app, we provide information to riders prior to starting a trip, such as pricing and other estimates in-app, estimated time of arrival, driver name, driver contact number, driver location, vehicle license plate, and vehicle type.

Prior to a trip, it’s the rider’s responsibility to check the information provided is accurate. When you book a trip with WeDrive,  you are accepting the terms of service and after a trip is completed, you are taking responsibility for the successful payment of that trip. If you cancel a trip after the driver arrived at your location a cancellation fee will be added.

You only need to pay according to the distance of your trip. For example, if your booking trip distance is 5km and you traveled only 2km your payment will be calculated for 2km. If your booking trip distance is 2km and you traveled 4km your payment will be calculated for 4km.

Processing Time

You can submit a refund request or a general complaint about your ride to the WeDrive Customer Support team at wedrive.lk or in the app within 5 days of encountering an issue. If we determine you are eligible for a refund, it will be processed to your original payment method within 3-5 business days. Please note that the refund may take additional time to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
