WeDrive, in all of its forms, whether it be featured on the wedrive.lk website or any of the WeDrive App mobile application (“apps”) services is a product of WeDrive PVT LTD (“WeDrive”). These “General Terms and Conditions” govern your use of our app and services from our platform. By accessing and using our app and website, you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any transactions.
WeDrive is a third-party marketplace that facilitates contact between drivers and passengers within the app. The user acknowledges and agrees that WeDrive is not liable for any act or omissions committed by any user, whether by robbery, commitment break as a result of any act, discussions, and others including the effective fulfillment of the obligations assumed by the users and loss not being for tax purposes. By registering and accepting the policy of the service, you acknowledge and agree that does so at your total means and exclusive risk.
WeDrive reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions that apply to all clients without notice. The updated terms and conditions will only be in effect once they are published on the wedrive.lk website. Continued use of the WeDrive App product after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
Use of the App
a. For the WeDrive Customer App, you must be at least 14 years old to use or book a ride.
b. For the WeDrive Driver App, you must be at least 21 years old to use or receive a ride.
c. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password.
d. You agree to provide accurate and current information during the registration process.
e. You may not use our app for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes.
Pricing
a. We strive to provide accurate pricing information on a daily basis. Prices will be updated daily according to the market. By referring to our price table, you will be able to get an idea about the price for each day such as the fare for the first kilometer, and the fare from the second kilometer.
b. Prices are subject to change daily without notice. Any promotions or discounts are valid for a limited time and may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
Booking and Payments
a. As a third-party marketplace that connects riders and drivers within the app, we provide information to riders prior to starting a trip, such as pricing and other estimates in-app, estimated time of arrival, driver name, driver contact number, driver location, vehicle license plate, and vehicle type. Prior to a trip, it’s the rider’s responsibility to check the information provided is accurate.
b. When you(the rider) book a trip with WeDrive, you(the rider) are accepting the terms of service and after a trip is completed, you(the rider) are taking responsibility for the successful payment of that trip. Once a ride is complete the total trip fare, total kilometers, and total time are displayed on both the rider and customer apps. You(the rider) are only charged according to the distance you(the rider) travel. If you(the rider) cancel a trip after the driver arrived at your(the rider’s) location a cancellation fee will be added.
c. If you(the rider) pay through credit card you(the rider) agree to provide valid and up-to-date payment information and authorize us to charge the full amount of the trip, to your chosen payment method.
d. If you(the rider) choose to “pay with cash”, pay the full amount of the trip to the driver.
e. To be able to accept a trip from a customer, a driver must have credits in the Driver’s Wallet. The company commission related to the trip is deducted from the Driver’s Wallet. We offer a reasonable amount of credits when a driver registers with our app for the first time. A driver has to top up the Driver’s Wallet when credits run out. Driver’s minimum wallet credit balance to stay ‘Online’ is RS 500.
d. The money received in the “payment by card” is also credited to the Driver’s Wallet. Payments will be credited within 3 working days (Third-party payment processing time will be added) to the driver’s bank account provided by the driver during registration (Third-party payment processor charges will be added)
f. We use trusted third-party payment processors to handle your payment information securely. We do not store or have access to your full payment details.

Intellectual Property
a. All content and materials on our website and app, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and graphics, are protected by intellectual property rights and are the property of WeDrive PVT LTD.
b. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from our website or app without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
a Driver/Rider certifies that they use the service of their own free will and untrammeled choice and recognizes and accepts as their responsibility and risk for using the app.
b. In no event shall WeDrive, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our app.
